Our Story
Ace of Suedes is the longest-serving and most recognisable name in the UK for the professional cleaning, restoration and repair of suede, leather, fur and specialist items. From a custom-built workshop in London, we serve private clients, dry cleaners and luxury retailers nationwide.
The workshop
Ace of Suedes specialises specifically in the specialist cleaning and aftercare of suede, leather, sheepskin, shearling, fur, waxed cottons and the technically complex items that most cleaners wouldn’t (or shouldn’t) touch!
That is why we have been trusted for decades to serve thousands of dry cleaners and luxury retailers across the UK, along with private clients who trust us with their most treasured items — which in most cases hold more sentimental value than monetary value.
Run today by Hus Zekayi and a small team of skilled craftsmen, the workshop in London is custom-built around the specialist services on offer — oil-based cleaning, restoration works, expert brushing and finishing, and a bespoke on-site repair and alterations department.
Every item is assessed by an experienced team member. The appropriate treatment plan is decided after we’ve held the piece, examined the condition and understood what the customer hopes to achieve.
Owner & Operator
“Quality, tradition, expert care and reputation — those aren’t marketing words. They are the morals that I was raised with and what we work towards on a daily basis!”
Hus Zekayi is the third generation of his family to specialise in the professional cleaning, restoration and aftercare of specialist items. The trade was originally carried into London by his grandfather in the 1960s, refined by his father, and now Hus is continuing the family tradition at Ace.
Hands-on by choice, every piece that arrives at the workshop passes through Hus’s hands at some point — assessment, treatment plan, final inspection. Call him directly on the phone and you’re speaking with the main guy who runs the show!

How we work
Free collection* across London with our own drivers. Send it via our nationwide tracked postal service, or drop off direct to the workshop.
Each piece is examined in person — material, condition, history. We confirm the appropriate treatment and price before any work begins.
Cleaned, restored or repaired by craftsmen using the right specialist methods — no shortcuts, no batch processes, no guesswork.
Inspected, finished and packaged with care. Delivered back via our driver or tracked post, with aftercare guidance for long-term wear.
Trade & Retail
Thousands of dry cleaners, retailers and luxury houses across the UK send their specialist work to us — pieces their own teams aren’t equipped to handle. White-label collection, trade pricing and dedicated trade accounts available.
